Cemented carbide is the most commonly used hard surface material in mechanical seal friction pairs. It has a wide range of uses, good wear resistance, high bending strength, high thermal conductivity, and small expansion coefficient. It is the material with the highest thermal shock resistance coefficient among all hard surface materials. It can also be used for bearings, nozzles, etc.

Containing suspended solid particles: The materials of the dynamic and static rings should be tungsten carbide/tungsten carbide, or silicon carbide/silicon carbide. When the particles are easy to block the sealing cavity, the flushing liquid that has been filtered or separated by an auxiliary device must be used to flush the end face.
