In the hot rolling production line of steel plants, the working environment of wear-resistant parts is extremely harsh. The production process involves extremely high temperatures and frequent thermal cycling, which accelerates the wear of wear-resistant equipment.
Miller tungsten carbide conveyor rollers, produced using hardfacing welding technology(PTA), exhibit extremely high wear resistance, excellent impact toughness, and resistance to thermal fatigue. Their lifespan is 8-10 times longer than that of traditional high-chromium conveyor rollers. Standard sizes include φ180mm and φ200mm, and customization is also available based on drawings provided.
Miller Carbide PTA conveyor rollers are formed by combining:
1. Steel base bodies
2. Tungsten carbide strips
3. PTA plasma transferred arc welding tungsten carbide powder (hardfacing material)
PTA welding features: (Compared to sintering infiltration and oxy-acetylene spraying )
1. No shape or size limitations
2. Unaffected mechanical properties of the steel component
3. Higher production efficiency
4. High bonding strength between the hardfacing layer and the steel component
